I stepped out the door at 15 on Wednesday and arrived at Eco-Moyo 24 hours later on Thursday. It’s always shocking to disembark the airplane and get swallowed by the most humid air that you can imagine, but with time (hopefully) one is able to adapt to this situation.

The road from Mombasa Airport to Eco Moyo takes around 2hours, and the landscape, structures, palms. mud-houses and what not is more and more inspiring to see every time I come here. The simplicity of how life unfolds, and the lack of resources puts one in a state of contemplation to think about life back home – and not to say the amount of energy spent to construct everything around us. Some of these things are difficult to convey without having experienced it oneself.
