The Ellipsis of Periods

A Triptych of Public Spaces

As part of the IRS 100 Ideas for Cities Hackathon, volunteers propose an idea for improving the public space adjacent to the community library.

In the heart of Trostyanets’ city we construct a triptych of public spaces. The first period, adjacent to the city library, cradles the pursuit of wisdom, inviting quiet conversations and shared insights. Deeper into the plot, the second period unfolds—an expansive plaza, adaptable for markets, concerts, and celebrations. At the far end, the third period—a secluded grove—beckons contemplation and playful moments. These ellipses punctuate the urban narrative, inviting interpretation, connection, and shared experiences.
